IDX Website
WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN WITH IDX FEEDS?
When we switch to Flexmls, individual IDX feeds will include listing data from all three MLS’s. We have sent current IDX vendors all the information necessary to make these changes. As stated above, existing data feeds will be re-mapped when we switch to Flexmls on April 27th so your IDX feeds will be pulling the new data correctly. We have notified the IDX vendors of the changes. Make sure your vendor does this on April 27th.
Can I still sign up for IDX feeds before we switch to flex?
New data feed applications from new vendors who do not already receive our data are on hold while we transition. As soon as we get the green light from Flexmls, vendors can start accessing the data on the back end for mapping purposes and we will open it back up.
New data feed applications from new vendors who do not already receive our data will be put on hold starting February 1, 2020. As soon as we get the green light from Flexmls, vendors can start accessing the data on the back end for mapping purposes and we will open it back up. Those feeds can launch as of March 30th when Flex goes live.
will my listings still appear on realtor.com, zillow, etc.?
Yes. Each MLS will continue to independently send listings to third-party syndicators with which they have agreements. As with the current Rapattoni system, these syndicators may be switched on or off at the office level by the managing broker.
Will my custom options for my idx feed need to be redone?
No. Any customization of how your IDX feed appears on your website will not be altered and will remain the same.
The arrangement you and your vendor would have worked on is purely a “stencil”/guide for what housing information to display on your website - the information provided by the MLS will remain the same and will not affect your customization of your website.
